MoU with the Government of Maharashtra

Fight Hunger Foundation works in close collaboration with various Government and development partners across the three states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in order to reach every child suffering from malnutrition and synergize efforts by various stakeholders.

To further strengthen our efforts in fighting malnutrion in children, we entered into a four party Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Women and Child Development Government of Maharashtra (DWCD), Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) and Rajmata Jijau Mother- Child Health and Nutrition Mission.

The MoU was signed during the launch of State Health Mission’s third phase, which was inaugurated by Women and Child Development Minister, Smt. Pankaja Munde.

The primary objective of the MoU is implementing projects on reduction of malnutrion in areas dominated by tribal population, poor health indicators and high malnutrition prevalence. Fight Hunger Foundation will also provide vital support to the Government health system by training frontline workers, providing technical assistance to ICDS, DWCD and Nutrition Mission in community based management of malnutrition and assist in monitoring and evaluating community centred projects for eradication of malnutrition.

Fight hunger Foundation has been working on combating malnutrition since 2012. We are present in over 500 villages covering a population of over 6 lakhs reaching out to over 4000 acutely malnourished children in 2017. In Maharashtra, we work in Govandi, Mumbai and Mokhada block of Palghar district through 6 Outpatient Threaupatic Centres.
